March Madness

March flew by, here's a little recap:

There was one moment last week when Kempton was my only child awake. The girls were zonked so we sneaked in some bonding time and I snapped a few photos of his adorable face. I think he still looks (and acts) so much like my brother Shawn.

Averie went on a field trip with her preschool to discover how Maple syrup is made. They tapped into a tree and everything. We got to taste the sap and learn that it takes at least 1 gallon of sap to make one tiny bottle of syrup!

She had lots of fun with her preschool buddies. Seriously? What's up with her and all these boys?

Analyzing red-headed cousins.

The theme for March's Enrichment night was "Friends are Like Shoes"
It turned out to be a really fun evening with close to 50 women. We served sun-dried tomato pasta with yummy salad and rolls. Notice all the shoes in the background, we had everyone bring a pair of shoes that represent them. It turned out to be a very elegant and fun evening.
To top the month off, I experienced the weirdest thing today at the dentist office. I went in to get a filling, the dentist gave me the Novocaine and then out of no where my right eyelid and eyebrow go numb. I couldn't close my right eye, it was hilarious! And when I would lift my eyebrow, nothing happened except for the other eyebrow raised two inches higher! The filling was on the lower right part of my mouth, the Novocaine should not have spread all the the way up to my eye. The dentist said this was unusual. Then, he went to drill and ZAP! I could feel it. So, he gave me more shots of Novocaine. Then again, ZAP! I could feel it. Basically, that part of my mouth wouldn't respond to Novocaine. He tried it one more time and no luck. The interesting thing is that I just had a filling on the other side and no pain. I left the dentist today with all those shots and nothing to show for it, except for a deformed face. Cale shot some video of me, but I don't have the "nerve" to post it as of yet. Ha, Ha.

  1. To start off, Kempton looks SOOO much like your brothers! The Perriton gene did not take over in Kempton. He is so darling, You can totally tell he has a sense of humor in those pictures. LOVE HIM!!! Next, Paige looks like she may have even a stronger red tint but it is hard to tell since she is so young and in a pic. Lucky her if she does end up with Brenna's color it is BEAUTIFUL. Lastly, love the shoe idea. We are doing that for our next enrichment in may. I remember you telling me about it and everyone here loved the idea. MISS YOU!!!

  2. Great pictures! Thanks so much for including your Enrichment info! I just got put in as Enrichment Counselor in our ward, and I'm loving gathering good ideas. Thanks!

Dave hopes that Cal's work situation is getting a bit easier. Here's to hoping?

  3. Suzette, What a bummer to visit the dentist and have nothing to show for it. You poor thing! Even with out the video, it is too funny to imagine. I must admit it gave me a chuckle...sorry! On a side note...your kids are adorable.

  4. I've had the same thing happen at the dentist.... They kept giving me shots and finally got to their limit of what they could give me.... and I could still feel it, so I went home.

  6. Love the pictures! We need to live by eachother so that Averie can have some girl friends! Oh, and as far as the dentist, the day before my wedding 1/2 of my face was deformed... no smiling, no eye closing, etc. but at least i also had no pain- that stinks that you could feel it!

  7. Kempton reminds me a lot of Cole - both in looks and in personality. I can't wait for them to play together. Ok - you seriously must show me that video - I bet it is as good as my "big butt" picture that you and my mom crack up at. PS - Your house looks really cute. Love the decorating.

  8. I see what you mean about the Perriton Gene.I think Denim is EXTRA blonde even compared to some of his cousins, and yet i love how he still looks like his dad in the face...(or mum depending on who you ask...we get SO MANY opinions ESPECIALLY now with 2 kids let me tell ya!) I love the variation in your children and Brennas red hair..adorable.

  9. Oh you MUST MUST MUST post the video!! I love a good laugh :) As for all those shots and nothing to show for it, that's a bummer. Those shots aren't fun either. And I will mention again how jealous I am that you got all the redheads and I didn't even get 1.
