Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual drive to Loveland, Colorado for the pumpkin patch (traditionally coinciding with cousin Tai's birthday party). Everyone picked out a pumpkin, Kempton wanted a huge one and insisted on carrying it himself.

It was a beautiful (hot) day! The kids insisted on carving their pumpkins for Family Home Evening the following Monday. This was fine, except for it was several weeks before Halloween. By the time Halloween came, they all shrunk to a sloppy mess on our porch. Oh well, natural consequences! And then they had the nerve to ask us why we carved them so soon!!! Ummmm...that was your doing little ones!!! We tried to reason with you!!! Better luck next year.
