Things you didn't know you wanted to know

Summer tagged me to write six facts about myself that people may not know. It's funny because I feel like some of my six are more like "confessions." Now I get to tag six of you--Jennie, Kim, Ember, Chelsea, Emily, and Natalie. I would also like to tag Elizabeth in hopes she'll create a blog.

Here are my six and I look forward to reading yours...

1) My only regret in life is that I didn't continue running track in high school. I also didn't go to my banquet where I ended up being the MVP. I remember saying to my family, "Would you want to continue doing something that made you feel like you have to pee and throw-up all at the same time? I don't think so! " This is true, I almost peed my pants at Valley, but it did help me run faster! I wouldn't let any of my family watch me, but found out later that Chad would watch the home meets in secret. Maybe this is why I have overcompensated by running, to make up for my stupidity somehow.
2) I can dance like a black girl. Just don't ask me to demonstrate while I'm pregnant. Then again, I've been pregnant for the last 4 years it seems so maybe I've lost my touch. I demonstrated this talent to Cale on our first date and I believe this is what scored me a second date! I also secretly love R&B, a little J-Lo never hurt anyone! :)
3) My three favorite smells are newborn babies, my Grandma DeRose (her perfume is heavenly), and the combination of rain on concrete. My three least favorite smells are Baskin Robbins waffle cones, church kitchens, and June bugs. You may not know that I have an INCREDIBLY KEEN sense of smell. It's a curse.
4) I slept with the same pillow for 26 years...until Cale hid it from me after 5 years of marriage. He thought he was being so funny! Later as we were moving out of our first home, I came across my beloved, worn, nasty, torn, tattered, beautifully smelling pillow. He had hid it in a bin downstairs. By this time, I was "weaned" off of it so we threw it away. Very bitter-sweet!
5) I can eat an entire half gallon of ice cream all by myself. I just need a fork and peace and quiet. I think my dad passed on this gene because I'm pretty sure all of my siblings can say the same thing. Our spouses are amazed at our ice cream eating abilities. We take it very seriously!
6) I make a list for everything, mostly because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I cross things off a list. The other reason would be because I gave birth to my memory along with the birth of my first child. You name it, I have a list for it.

Actually Shawn believes that I can eat more ice cream than him. Just last night he said I was and ice-cream eating monster. I get this gene from my family, so me might have to have a ice cream EATING throw down to see who can scarf the most! HAHA.
