The Real Halloween

Pin It To continue the story from the previous post...
I-80 didn't open until Saturday @ 11:30 am. The crazy thing is that it was a gorgeous day, beautiful western skies and in the 50's. We hear they didn't open because of all the road clean up from the accidents. Kind of a scary thought.

Averie and Kempton were so excited to finally wear their costumes. We went with Joey and Sondra to their Halloween party, then went Trick-or-Treating with Uncle Mike and kids. Auntie Amanda and I stayed back with babies. It was a fun night and we got WAY TO MUCH candy!
Ok, I may have to start taking an interest in stupid Sci-Fi comic book movies (yes, that comment was for my brothers). Kempton was a very muscular spider man. He wore his mask the entire night.

Averie referred to herself in the third person from the moment she put on her costume. "Wonder Woman would like you to turn up the music."

She wore the same Wonder Woman crown I wore at her age when I was Wonder Woman for Halloween in 1983.

Averie, Kempton and Joey all as Superheroes.

You may notice the absence of a little red-headed toddler. As if Halloween this year wasn't enough of a flop: In our rush to travel to Cheyenne, I forgot Brenna's fairy dress. I remembered the wings, antennas, and wand! I'm REALLY losing it...

Your not losing it! You have a lot going on in your life. As a Mom we want to be perfect but have to remember only the savior was perfect. Your children look really happy and You were there for them. Thats what they will remember a Mom who was always there for them! You are a great example for them!

We'll they ended up looking SO cute! No fears about before, Im sure they were still cuter than everyone else in there other costumes. My cousins little girl was SET on being a puppy but at every party they had she changed her mind everytime and never once even wore the puppy costume they bought for her! Thats more frustrating than just not getting them on time!

STUPID sci-fi super heros? I'm offended. Hail to Marvel super heros! Kempton looks awesome, he even has the spider web hand motion correct. His uncle must have taught him well!

Their costumes were adorable!!! I love that Averie is wearing the same crown as you did! That is so fun! They're growing up sooooo fast! Your kids look sooo big, which probably means mine are getting bigger, too. :(

You are a superhero mom for getting everything organized and ready...Halloween requires so much planning! Averie is looking so like your mom...she is just beautiful. Kempton TOTALLY has awesome abs...all that oatmeal does a body good! And my redhead Brenna doesn't need a fairy dress to be magical. I love them all and I miss you guys! -Elizabeth

PS...Is it REALLY that cold in Wyoming that superwoman had to wear long sleeves under her costume...your California friends are jealous of your Wyoming seasons! -Elizabeth
