The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Pin It The time has come, we may finally feel adjusted to this move. We close on our new home March 29th!!! By this time, it will be almost 11 months since Cale started at Wyotech, his first day on the job was May 4, 2009. We feel blessed and look forward to new memories as a family in our home. Each of our homes have triggered so many fond memories involving neighbors, friends, family, babies, children, creativity, growth, and hard work. I know that material things don't bring me happiness, but let me tell you...space does!!! I have learned that five people do not fit in a 600-square-foot apartment.

Master shower and jet tub. I need to turn off my flash because all the pictures turned out lighter than they are in person. The tile is definitely darker and warmer than what is showing on my computer.
Kitchen island and bar. Again, the granite is darker than this. Plus, the bar granite hadn't been installed yet.

Open kitchen and living room. They did the fireplace stone today but I didn't get a picture.
Pantry off the kitchen, my favorite part of the house!

It's hard to tell, but the stucco color is a warm tone sage green with an oatmeal trim color. Since this picture, they finished the stone and poured the concrete. Also, they are moving the downspout. Not sure why they put it on the front of the stone! The white front door will be painted a dark brown. It's so hard to tell with all the construction mess! Plus I took a picture on the one day there was cloud cover.

It's so fun to catch-up with you and the happenings of your family! I love the house and I'm excited for you guys to be able to move in, Happy St. Patty's Day, and I think you look beautiful in your lounging Sunday sweats! Love you friend!

Yep, that pantry is making me hot-and-bothered. That is my fantasy!

The house is looking great! I can tell from your comments that this house-building project has been a real labor of love for you. I agree with what you said about material things not making happiness, but they are part of the memories that you will look back on and sigh about forever. This house is shaping up to the be the home your kids will always remember when they think back on being little and playing with Mom.

Gorgeous! So jealous of your pantry. I've often thought that if/when we ever build a house, I'm going to hire an LDS contractor, just so he/she understands what I mean by LARGE PANTRY. As for your bar - we have one and LOVE IT. Sad to admit that we eat every meal as a family bellied up to the bar. But because it's curved (Yours looks that way?), we can see and talk like crazy. Love it!
