The end of the school year

Simultaneously to having Kinlee, we enjoyed all the end of the school year activities.  For Kempton's preschool choir performance they performed "The Ants Go Marching."  We could hear his voice singing loudly out of everyone.  He takes his singing responsibilities very seriously!

I didn't get any pictures of Averie's choir performance because I was in the hospital with baby, but Cale took some video and our girl was FULL of expression.  So cute!!!

Averie did a beautiful job performing at her dance recital.  She danced to "Lollipop."  She was fabulous!  After the dress rehearsal I told her how good of a job she did and she told me that she could have done better because she didn't remember to smile (I thought she smiled just fine, she was just focusing on her counts).  She remembered for the actual performance and smiled the whole time!

Brenna graduated from her Mom's group preschool.  She had a great year with all of her friends and it was fun for us Moms to plan and prepare every six weeks.  She is excited for next year because (in her words) she gets to go to "real preschool."

Stop growing Brenna!!!

Fun friends

One of the Mom's (my friend Nicole) made these adorable Mother's Day photos.

At the end of the year, the kids had a field trip to the police station.  Brenna still talks about it.

We are sad to let Kempton's preschool days go, he had a wonderful two years with his teachers.  They love him and we love them!!!  He spent every day with them, and they spoke very highly of our inquisitive Kempton.  His teachers said they were going to miss having to google his questions.  Seriously, he asks HARD questions, and wants to know the REAL answers.  They completely understand what we go through with Kempton and all his constant questions! It's hard to keep up. Last night Cale had to explain in detail exactly how the washer pump works to spray a windshield and what antifreeze does to an engine! There is no such thing as trying to distract him.  Kempton felt the love of his teachers and it has given him the confidence he needed for kindergarten.

Lucky for us, Brenna gets to go next year to the same preschool.

Kempton and Brenna enjoyed a great year of gymnastics with their buddies.  They ended the gymnastics year with "Preschool Olympics." They strut their stuff for an audience.

We had a great 2011-2012 school year!

Your kids are so dang cute. And uh, if your school district has a gifted and talented program, you'll want to look into that for Kempton. Seriously. Have him tested for it as soon as they will do it.
