End of the School Year Mania

May was a blur for two reasons:

#1  I was still in my morning sickness fog

#2 with three kids in school plus all of their activities, there was never a dull moment.

On Mother's Day we got a huge spring storm.  So we brought the snow inside for hours of fun.

Averie was on the "runner girl" team.  At the end of the session, they competed in the Happiness 5k.  She ran her little heart out and won 1st place for her age group among about 400 total runners.  I was sooooo proud of her!  You should have seen her face when they announced her name as 1st place, it was priceless!  She ran a 5k in 32:08.  Not too shabby for a 9 year old!

This was her right after finishing, I didn't get a picture of her with her medal.  boo hoo

We lucked out with perfect weather again for field day at school.  And Averie was on a team with friend Jenna.

Brenna was on a team with Jenna's sister Brynn, her BFF.

Kinlee loves going to the school and getting all the attention for her sibling's friends.

They had a yoga station, which was hilarious.

This was the only picture I got of Kempton because he was running everywhere and wouldn't stop.

We have another four eyes in the family.  Kempton looks so handsome in his new glasses.

On another day, we attended Averie's 3rd grade poetry reading.
Cale had to miss it so he had her read them to him at dinner. Once she was finished, Cale told us all that he had a special poem that he had been preparing. Then in all seriousness and poetically, he recited the entire "Fresh Prince" theme song: "This is the story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down... " I was dying.

 Brenna had her dance recital

I waited til the last minute (the last day of school) to give a little thank you present to the kids' teachers.  It has taken me years to figure out this recipe with the high altitude.  It is not healthy nor is it sugar free.  Sorry 'bout that.

I only got video of Averie's piano recital.  Averie and Kempton have different piano teachers, so Kempton doesn't have his until later in the year.
