(In no particular order.)
1) "Grandma with yellow hair's" peanut butter and chocolate fudge. We have already eaten half of the tin and we just got the package yesterday. We also went through a half gallon of milk. Delicious!!!
2) "Grandma with black hair's" sun-dried tomato pasta. This has been a Peterson (and now Caleb and Suzette Perriton) Christmas Eve favorite. With a mixture of chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and pasta, how could this be anything but tasty and festive? Yum, Yum.
3) Mr. Krueger's Christmas. A little on the cheesy side, this is a classic that brings me to tears every year. Cale's play-by-play analysis is never appreciated.
4) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. "Joy to the World!!! Drum roll please..." This movie is best watched with my brothers and Dad.
5) "Hurry, get to bed!!! Can you hear Santa outside? I hear jingle bells!!!" This is a tradition Cale passed down from Dad Perriton. Last year, Averie heard Santa's jingle bells outside, ran upstairs, quickly climbed into her bed, laid down with a GINORMOUS smile on her face and said, "Santa Claus is coming to town!" She fell asleep in less than five minutes, probably a record.
6) Matching Christmas pajamas. Even teenagers and Cale go along with this for some reason. Shocking!
7) Christmas cards. Cale and I love hearing from long-lost friends and extended relatives. It reminds us that we really need to be better at keeping in touch with people.
8) Christmas lights and lawn decorations. We were driving the other evening and Averie was pointing out all of the Christmas lights and random lawn decorations. She was impressed enough to blurt out, "This is sooooo LIGHTIFUL!!!" She must have got this word from her own dictionary.
9) Remembering the Savior. Especially as we teach the story of Jesus' birth to our children. I have collected Christmas stories over the years. For the past couple of years, I have wrapped and put them under the tree and we (mostly Averie with Kempton's help) unwrap one each evening as a countdown to Christmas. I look forward to this special time set apart to teach and learn about Jesus Christ and His love.
10) Christmas music. From "Silent Night" to "Feliz Navidad" and Miss Piggies, "Five Golden Rings!" I love it all.

We made a Gingerbread house for FHE. I think there was more candy in Averie's tummy than on the house itself. A kit is the way to go, let me tell you!
Cale's work family Christmas party. With pizza, Santa, rides, and a present for each kid, this sure beats watching co-workers find an excuse to get drunk!

What a fun post! The girls & I listened to the Christmas CD your mom made when we were little... Hailey is pretty sure I'm famous now.
