Bishop Shumway has been with Paul and Sondra since the beginning, helped them through all the steps to marriage.
I LOVE this picture of their new family. Joey's job was to hold the ring and keep it safe.
Had to put this great picture of Cale and his new brother-in-law. I tried finding a picture of Colette, but there was only one in the far off distance. I think she was so busy behind the video camera. :)
We just love Paul, and we especially love how happy he makes Sondra.
Here's the cake table. The cake was DELICIOUS, I only tried the chocolate groom's cake, but considering I'm not a fan of cake that is saying something! Mom Perriton was in charge of the cakes, I think it turned out beautifully. On the table as well are yummy cream cheese mints (to die for)! I had them made very simply, with no food coloring or molds. Simple elegance is my thing!
At the end of the food table there was a hot chocolate bar. With peppermint sticks, red hots, whipped cream, marshmallows, sprinkles, maraschino cherries, etc. This was a huge hit with all the kids, probably made them either on a sugar high or sick (sorry about that parents).
The little saying says, "Help yourself to a yummy treat! And don't forget, Love is Sweet! " (Thank you Tia the Scribe).
Here is The Help. A few days before the wedding I got really nervous that no one would show up to help and that it would be Cale and I doing all the cooking, decorating, and cleaning. I didn't want Mom to have to work that day, just enjoy the evening. I had nothing to worry about, these ladies (plus a few more, Denise and Auntie aren't pictures plus a few additional helpful ladies from Sondra's ward. Not to mention the men in our family who came to the rescue!).
The guests signed a large picture matte for Paul and Sondra. With 170 people there, it was filled to the brim. I think I forgot to sign it...hehe.
Trisha Smedley played the piano for both the ceremony and reception. It was so beautiful and a nice ambiance.
There are hardly any pictures of the food, but here's what was on the menu, just to make your mouth water: Pomegranate Punch, Parmesan Red Potato Bites, Petite Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwiches, Turkey or Ham Croissant Sandwiches, Auntie's Hawaiian Meatballs, Vegetable Cream Cheese Pinwheels, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Fruit Platter, and Vegetable and Relish Platters.
Here is a view of the entire room before the guests arrived. There were black/white damask table runners with either a red mosaic glass vase or tall glass vase with red Christmas bulbs as a centerpiece. On the chairs are red-tied sashes. Lots of tea lights and lighted Christmas trees throughout. On both sides of the room were three long tables for the food and hot chocolate bar and on the other side gifts.
We are so excited for Paul, Sondra, and Joey to begin their lives together. It was such a happy day and evening!
By the way, blogspot is being difficult. It's not letting me post the pictures and text in an organized fashion!
