Love you Grandma

After receiving the news this morning of my beautiful Grandma DeRose' unexpected passing, I created this collage.  It was my emotional therapy.  Today I've done a lot of reminiscing, been on the phone most of the day, left my children to their own devices, and didn't make dinner.  Ever have days like this?

I am so glad we were able to see Grandma this summer, Rosie now remembers her namesake and is sad that "Now she only has three grandmas!"  I explained to her that her Grandmas who passed away will always be her Grandmas, they are just in Heaven with Heavenly Father and we won't see them for a long while.  That made her sad.  It's never easy to cry in front of your children, but she was also very somber today because she saw Mommy doing lots of that, especially while talking to loved ones on the phone.  Although losing my Grandma is hard, I look forward to seeing all my family in California, loved ones that I haven't seen in a long time.  All of my cousins will be there (there are 12 of us, obviously Nichole can't go) and my Aunts and Uncles (Grandma had six children).  I know there will be lots of tears and time to mourn during the festivities, but it will also be a celebration of the beautiful life my Grandma DeRose led.
